Senior JavaScript Developer (5+ years experience)

Fulltime & Remote for a Dutch Company living in Bulgaria

One of our established Dutch clients has recently onboarded 3 remote developers and is looking to expand their team in Bulgaria with additional resources. We are looking for a  JavaScript Developer who enjoys building solid, scalable applications and wants to have real impact on both product and custom solutions. In this role, you will join a team where you have the freedom to steer development, implement cutting-edge technologies, and improve the core architecture. This is a fully remote position with a Bulgarian labor contract via Opensapiens Europe EOOD (sapnomads).

About the role

You will work on our core platform, which we continuously maintain and extend. On top of this foundation, we build custom applications for a wide range of clients all using JavaScript/TypeScript.

You will be involved in:

• Building new features across the full stack (Vue.js & Node.js)

• Improving and scaling our core product

• Developing custom solutions tailored to client needs

• Making technical decisions around architecture and infrastructure

What we are looking for:

We need a heavyweight developer who understands the "why" behind the code and can oversee the long-term consequences of technical choices.

• 5+ years of professional experience in JavaScript development

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (modern ES6+)

• Comfortable communicating in English

Nice to have:

• TypeScript

• Node.js

• Vue.js (or deep experience in React/Angular and willing to use Vue)

• HTML & (S)CSS

• PostgreSQL (SQL)

• NoSQL databases

• Cloud infrastructure experience (preferably AWS)

• Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK is a big plus)

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

• Experience designing scalable backend architectures

• Familiarity with serverless or event-driven systems

• Experience working on product-based platforms
